So by now I've been to all of my classes, which all have ridiculously long names. In the States, instead of calling a class "Decision Analysis for Business and Management," we'd shorten it to just "Decision Analysis." Or "Corporate Contracting and Managerial Behaviour" to something like "Corporate Governance." And they wonder why I can't remember these names.
I think my favorite class is going to be the one I had this morning, Influence and Change in Organisations. It's basically a psychology class with a business twist to it. I've always been disappointed I couldn't take more psych classes in college, so now I'm getting the best of both worlds.
We went with the business school on a walking tour of Manchester yesterday, and of course, yesterday was the only day it's really rained since we've been here. However, we pressed on and were surprised by how much we didn't even know existed. And then after about an hour, my ADD photo taking capabilities led us to completely losing our group, but hey, at least yall have pictures to see:
And of course, us in the rain:

I joined a gym today, opting for the one in my area of campus rather than the nicer one a bus ride away. People had told me that no one works out in Europe, but it's not really that they don't work out, it's more of that they just don't care. A lot of girls were wearing Keds-like shoes and I swear I even saw a girl on the elliptical in slippers. The one girl I did see wearing real shoes also had on a polo with the collared popped... just saying, I look real athletic.
Oh and you'll notice I've decided to use the English spelling of words while I write in my blog, such as "behaviour" and "organisations". I figure since I'm going to have to write essays for my classes, which count off for spelling, I might as well get used to it now.
